Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

Mater Dei's Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is made up of dedicated parents and staff who work together to strengthen our school community. Through events, fundraising, and volunteer support, the PTO helps enhance the educational experience for all students and supports our teachers in meaningful, practical ways.

Events & Activities

The PTO helps coordinate a variety of events and activities throughout the school year, including:

  • Monthly PTO Meetings: September through April, held on the second Wednesday of each month from 6:00–7:00 p.m.
  • Teacher Support: Teacher Appreciation Week, along with conference meals and snacks each semester (fall and spring)
  • Family & Student Events (2025–2026): Truck or Treat, Kids Jam, Rollerama Party, and “Pastries with My Peeps!”
  • Fundraising Events: Heelan Garden Flags, apparel sales, Perkins Pie sales, restaurant nights, and more

These events not only raise essential funds, but also help build connection and community across our school.

Additional Ways to Support Our School

Even small contributions make a big difference. Here are easy ways families can help year-round:

  • Box Tops for Education: Scan receipts directly in the Box Tops app
  • Hy-Vee School Bucks: Save eligible Hy-Vee receipts (Sioux City/South Sioux City) from August 1–April 24 and submit by April 26
  • Amazon Teacher Wish Lists: Ask your child’s teacher or check our Facebook page for current lists
  • Target Circle / Take Charge of Education: Designate Mater Dei School as your selected school to earn rewards through purchases
  • Casey’s Rewards: Link your account through the Casey’s app to support our school
